Open Classes

Northern Ballet Theatre's new powerhouse of dance opens in the centre of Leeds in autumn 2010. Under the direction of our Artistic Director, David Nixon, Northern Ballet Academy is offering a range of open classes and courses so you can develop your passion for dance whatever your age or ability.

Registration is now open for classes.

Classes at Northern Ballet offer:

• Opportunities for all ages and abilities from mini movers to adult classes everyone who wants to dance can

• Balance by way of Northern Ballet's unique curriculum concentrating on healthy training and happy bodies
• Music played live in all classes
• Progression for those wanting to pursue dance as a profession including our Centre for Advanced Training Programme (CAT) and International Summer School

Register now! Download a registration form. Registration costs just £5 per person which entitles you to register for as many classes as you wish throughout the year. You will also receive our Academy eNewsletter which will give you regular updates and advance notice of new classes and productions as well as special offers and prize draws.

Class Age Guidance

• Early Childhood Classes – ages 2-7
• Classes for Young People – ages 8-16
• Adult Classes – ages 16+

Payment

All classes for early childhood and young people are charged for the year. Fees can either be paid in one lump sum or by 8 monthly direct debits.

Adult classes can be bought individually or for ease of payment and to save money buy an 11 class carnet card at £71.50 and get your 12th class free. Carnet cards can be used throughout the year but you must call or email to book your place in the class 2 days in advance.

Location

Classes commence week commencing 6 September 2010 at West Park Centre, Spen Lane, Leeds LS16 5BE.

All classes will then move to our state-of-the-art building in the city centre in late September once we have settled into our new home at Northern Ballet, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7PA.
