Don't Just Sit There, Artistic Director

We are seeking an Artistic Director to lead a major programme that will leave a lasting cultural and sporting legacy from the 2012 games . “Don't Just Sit There” is a project that will work across Yorkshire with cultural and sporting partners to create work that motivates everyone to move.

“Don't Just Sit There” is a programme of work that will be delivered across Yorkshire encouraging as many people as possible to get moving and thinking about their bodies. Using dance, physical theatre, music, sport and alternative forms of movement, the project exploits the links between sport and culture to create a web of opportunities for active participation and performance.

The work will be delivered over a 28 month period and for a set fee of between £18,000 – £20,000 to a self employed/freelance artist.

Closing Date for Applications: 24th February 2010.

Interviews will be held on: Monday 8th March, 2010 at West Park in Leeds.
