Northern Ballet Theatre

Northern Ballet Theatre (NBT) had a very busy October with our World Première of The Nutcracker in Manchester and more performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. We also said an emotional farewell to Principal Artist, Chiaki Nagao, who gave her final UK performance in the role of Juliet in Romeo & Juliet at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford. NBT’s Get Closer Events

Don’t forget that NBT offer you a chance to Get Closer at most theatre venues we tour to. This is your opportunity to find out more about a production and enhance your theatre experience.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream Pre-performance talk and open workshops at Milton Keynes Theatre.

Pre-performance Talk –
Wednesday 14 November, 6.30 – 7pm
Open workshops – Sunday 11 November
10am – 12pm age 7+ with a participating adult (£15) 12.30 – 2pm age 13+ (£9)
2.30 – 4pm age 17+ (9)
The open workshops require no previous experience.

The Nutcracker

With everyone starting to get ready for Christmas The Nutcracker is proving to be a family favourite with audiences around the country so don’t miss out on this magical treat and book your tickets at Leeds Grand Theatre now.

Spring Tour 2008

Spring is our Shakespeare season so make sure you get your NBT fix and book for one, two or even all three of our productions!

Our World Première of Hamlet opens at Leeds Grand in February so make sure you book your tickets for what is certain to be a thrilling ballet experience. To take a look at our Hamlet trailer, which includes an exclusive extract from Philip Feeney’s new score click here

The season also includes A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Quarrelling lovers and feuding fairies cause mayhem in our critically acclaimed dance version of this bewitching play. Finally our classic adaptation of Romeo & Juliet visits Sheffield – if you haven’t seen it before, it’s worth a trip.
